Boletus edulis The classic. Hat hazelnut-chestnut, a little slimy when wet, with white hem when young; white reticulum only at the top to the stem. Open the sheet Black porcini mushroom (bronzino)
Black porcini mushroom
Boletus aereus The darkest and (for many) the best. Hat very dark brown, almost black, bronze, often with lighter marbling. Open the sheet Pine porcini (red)
