Each mushroom has its own unique characteristics. Basically, they can be divided into three "families":

- Those waiting for sustained humidity: chanterelles and trumpet mushrooms, which want humid weeks, not a storm.
- Those waiting for warm soil: morels, in spring, which start when the ground reaches a certain temperature.
And the timings aren't copied from a book: they're measured from real finds.
